They Called Me an AI, So I Went Live to Prove I'm Human

A few people decided my profile photo was AI and that I must be a bot. So I did something I never thought I would have to do. I went live, unrehearsed and unedited, to talk about it.

Here is the honest version. The tool I built, the Atlas, is an AI. I am not. I built it out of twenty years in practice as a licensed counsellor and therapist, fifteen of them in the room doing depth work with real people, one human across from another. The Atlas is trained on all of that: every book I have written and every episode of The Architect Speaks, scripted and recorded in my own voice.

But this stopped being about my photo pretty quickly, because there is a bigger thing underneath it. We have reached a point where a person can barely prove they are human online, and it has become very easy, and very lazy, to look at good work, a piece of writing, a video, a book, a painting, and wave it away as AI. Discernment is good. A gate between you and the world is not. Long before AI, humans did extraordinary things. They still do. AI was trained on those things. It did not replace the people who made them.

The only proof that actually settles this is yours. Go and do the Atlas. If it lands, use it. If it does not, move along. It is free and it takes one sitting, and it names the single pattern that has been running underneath your life:
